Complex automation codes by voice input – how Schaeffler and Siemens are driving digitalization in production.

Schaeffler and Siemens presented an industrial automation solution with the use of AI at Hannover Messe 2024. Artificial intelligence converts natural language into complex automation codes for machine control. This makes work significantly more efficient for employees on the shopfloor.

The “Siemens Industrial Copilot” developed by Siemens and used at the world’s largest industrial trade fair in a robot cell from Schaeffler’s Special Machinery division also has access to relevant documentation, guidelines and manuals to help employees identify potential sources of error. The AI-supported assistant offers further potential for machine correspondence or validations.
